They say product placement is everywhere: In music, tv, online and even in the movies. This week on our Stromboli’s NY Pizzeria blog we’re going to take a look at some of the most memorable Pizza moments from cinema. From karate fighting turtles to web slinging superheros, pizza has been strutting it’s stuff infront of the camera for decades. Take a look at our list of Pizza in the Movies.

1. Waynes World
In Waynes World, our main character’s Wayne and Garth explode with stardom when their public access television show gets picked up by a major network. During their journey, fame gets to their head exposing them to be sellouts during a hilarious montage where the duo pitch such products as Doritos, Reebok, Tylenol and Pizza Hut.

2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
It’s been quite some years since America’s youth were going crazy over the karate fighting turtles that dominated much of the early 90′s cartoon lineup. But who can ever forget those four green brothers, oversized rat leader and their love for New York Style Pizza. These guys are no joke when it comes to their pizza.

3. Toy Story
To infinity…and beyond! Buzz lightyear got himself in a wild situation in Toy Story when he was left behind, by his owner, at the local pizza joint: Pizza Planet. Shortly afterward, Woody and the rest of the toy gang go on a mission to find their pal, Buzz. Little did they know, he was taken and brought to their neighbor’s house where buzz would later be rescued from the deranged boy next door.

4. Home Alone
Don’t try this at home kids! The movie Home Alone had probably one of the greatest pizza moments in cinema history. Here’s the setup: A boy a left home alone during Christmas, on accident, by his parents. While he is home alone, hilarity ensues when the boy, Kevin, decides to order a pizza for dinner. Although Kevin,

clearly has money (he purchases groceries in the film) he decides to still thepizza by using the audio recording from a gangster movie to scare off the pizza delivery boy ju

st as he has placed the pizza through the door. “I’m gonna give you till the count of ten, to get yer ugly, yella, no-good keester off my property, BEFORE I PUMP YOUR GUTS FULL OF LEAD!”
